QUEZON CITY, (PIA) — Calling all creatives and aspiring footwear designers! The Filipino Footwear Design Competition is back.
The annual competition is back and looking for fresh designs of footwear that champion Filipino ingenuity.
It is open to all aspiring Filipino designers and students nationwide. Interested participants must be 18 years old and above and currently residing in the Philippines. All design entries must be original, yet to be prototyped, and have not won in any design competition.
The design challenge should showcase ‘Filipino Culture and Heritage’ true design craftmanship. Designers are also encouraged to use local and indigenous materials and techniques, such as local weaves, natural materials, embroideries, etc.

The grand winner will receive up to Php30,000 cash prize and will have the opportunity to represent the Philippines at the prestigious International Footwear Design Competition (IFDC) in Guangzhou, China.
The Filipino Footwear Design Competition is an annual footwear design competition spearheaded by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), in partnership with the Philippine Footwear Federation Inc. (PFFI).
