BANGUED, Abra (PIA) – The Abra Diocesan Teachers and Employees Multi-Purpose Cooperative (ADTEMPCO) received the Presidential Recognition for Outstanding Development Partner from President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. during an awarding ceremony at the Ceremonial Hall in Malacañan Palace on July 10, 2024.
ADTEMPCO was recognized under the Improving Access to Finance Category-North Luzon for implementing deposit and investment services and loan facilities that helped small businesses obtain additional capital. Its financial services also helped the cooperative expand operations with 15 branches outside the province of Abra.
In a facebook post, the ADTEMPCO expressed gratitude to all its members and its management.
“Kudos to all members of ADTEMPCO and its management for the dedication and commitment towards nation-building,” the post stated.
The ADTEMPCO has consistently provided financial programs and services to its members and partner communities through friendly business ventures since 1985.
During the awarding ceremony, the President emphasized the importance of development partners in the success of various micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
“By improving the local business climate, encouraging access to finance, markets, technologies and innovations, and enhancing management and labor capacities, these awardees have helped prime local business to flourish and to succeed,” the President said.
Meanwhile, Department of Trade and Industry Secretary Alfredo Pascual shared that the awarding program was organized by the DTI and the MSME Development Council to celebrate exceptional MSMEs and various partners who play vital role in the country’s growing economy.
“On this occasion, let us all pay tribute to our invaluable development partners. Their steadfast support and collaboration have been instrumental in the success of our MSME endeavors,” he said.
Aside from ADTEMPCO, another awardee from the Cordillera region is the HeySuccess Virtual Assistance Services that received the Outstanding MSME-North Luzon. (JJPM- PIA CAR, Abra)
