BANGUED, Abra (PIA) – Seven additional patrol vehicles were turned-over to the Abra Police Provincial Office (PPO) to help ensure peace and order in the province, especially with the upcoming 2025 national and local elections.
Police Regional Office-Cordillera Director PBGen. David K. Peredo with Abra PPO Director PCol. Gilbert Fati-ig led the blessing and turn-over of four Toyota Hilux single cab, two Toyota Hilux 4×4 double cab, and one Toyota Innova at the Camp Juan Villamor in Calaba, Bangued on February 24, 2025.
“Ang mga ito ay para magamit ng mga tao natin sa pag-perform ng kanilang mga duties and responsibilities. Alam ninyo na ang concentration ng election concerns natin ay unang-una ang Abra. In terms of risk factors sa election, Abra ang nangunguna kaya binibigyan natin ng focus,” Peredo explained.
The Cordillera top cop also reminded the Abra PPO personnel of their responsibilities with the additional vehicles that were borrowed from the different Provincial Police Offices of the region.
“We are providing you these vehicles but in return you should use them properly. You should also care for them so that it will really give you the services they are intended for,” he instructed.
Meanwhile, Abra PPO Deputy Director for Administration PLtCol. Jethro Moog thanked the regional office for helping improve the operational efficiency of the Abra police.
“We are hopeful that we can be more capable of addressing the peace and order concerns in our beloved province,” he said.
