BANGUED, Abra (PIA) – The provincial government of Abra has stepped up initiatives to upgrade its digital systems for more effective and efficient government services and transactions.
Acting Governor Russell Bragas led provincial department heads in meeting representatives of LLL Security Technologies and Services to discuss features, services, applications, and other innovations that can boost the digital capacity of the provincial government.
“We really need it because in reality we are already left behind, very Jurassic na ang system. So, by hook or by crook, we need to push through with this” Bragas emphasized.
During the meeting, strategies and technologies were tackled to help improve the efficiency of transactions particularly in the Provincial Assessor’s Office, Treasury Office, and Personnel Services Department.
While pursuing a digitized system of services and transactions, the provincial government also laid out measures to safeguard the system from phishing, hacking, and breach of records, especially sensitive information.
The provincial government, with its security and technology provider, is scheduled to install necessary hardware and conduct training and enrollment support by mid-May this year to ensure a smooth transition into the new system.
“As we embrace this digital shift, we look forward to fostering a more efficient and secure governmental process – a legacy-defining process and system for future generations,” the provincial government stated in a Facebook post. (JJMT, PIA-CAR, Abra with info from Abra PGA)
