Abra towns recognized for championing local business and development

PIDIGAN, Abra (PIA) – Two towns of Abra were recently recognized for their steadfast support to the development of entrepreneurship and local businesses.

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI)-Abra commended the municipalities of Tineg and Lagayan for their significant efforts and continuous partnership in championing micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and promoting consumer rights and welfare.

Tineg representative Clarissa Crisologo expressed gratitude to the DTI for appreciating the contributions of the municipality. She also shared the benefits of the DTI Negosyo Center that was put up in the town.

Crisologo also assured the continuous support of Tineg to the different programs and plans of the agency.

Meanwhile, the  Lagayan LGU  represented by Office of the Mayor Executive Assistant Julius Ceasar Blandi, highlighted the contributions of various DTI facilities in boosting the tourism industry of the municipality.

Aside from Tineg and Lagayan, the DTI also recognized the Abra Diocesan Teachers and Employees Multi-Purpose Cooperative represented by its manager Engr. Irene Bringas and the Philippine Information Agency for their assistance in promoting DTI programs and services.

The awarding of the recognitions to the different DTI partners was held during the recent  year-end assessment and planning program of the DTI-Abra. (JJPM, PIA-CAR, Abra)
