PIDIGAN, Abra (PIA) — The Department of Agriculture (DA) Cordillera Regional Field Office (RFO) reminds farmers’ associations and cooperatives in Abra to submit their application for accreditation to enjoy the packages, benefits and grant programs of the agency.
In order to avail the assistance of DA, the FAs and coops must be Civil Society Organization (CSO) – accredited, DA-CAR RFO Agriculturist Mae Kio-isen said as she explained the guidelines for accreditation.
The documentary requirements are as follows; 1. Accomplished and Notarized Application sheet, 2. Board Resolution of Applications, 3. Organizational Structure, 4. Certificate of Good Standing LCE or Head of Org. 5, Valid Business Permit Copy, 6. BIR Registration, 7. Certificate of Registration from SEC/DOLE/CDA, 8. Certificate of Good Standing From Registering Agency, 9. Certificate of Good Standing from Benefactors, 10. Notarized Omnibus Sworn Statement, 11. Bio-Data of Current Chairperson, 12. Constitution and By-Laws, 13. Secretary’s Certification of Incumbent Officers, 14. Sworn Affidavit of Secretary on non-relationship between CSO officers and accreditation officials, 15. Disclosure of Related Business from CSO Officers, 16. Audited Financial Statement for the 2-3 years and 17. Accomplishment reports of Physical engagement/business/activities of the CSO.
There are hundreds of FAs and coops in the province, however, as of February 2023, only around 25 are accredited by DA.
“We continue to encourage these associations to follow through this process since majority of the groups are not yet accredited. As soon as we accept their application, we fastrack their accreditation so that more groups in Abra will benefit from the various support programs of DA,” Kio-isen said.
