CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela (PIA) – A P49.4 million access road project has significantly boosted the local tourism and agriculture industries in Cauayan City, Isabela
Adonis Asis, head of the Department of Public Works and Highways-3rd District Engineering Office, said the 2.91-kilometer road project aimed at enhancing the accessibility to local tourist destinations, particularly Hacienda De San Luis, is a prime eco-tourism park in the city.
Asis emphasized that the newly completed road also facilitates quicker travel of visitors during the annual Gawagaway-yan Festival, which celebrates Cauayan City’s rich agricultural heritage.
Additionally, the improved road also enhances accessibility for residents, enabling easier transportation of agricultural products to major hubs in the city.
The project is funded under the General Appropriations Act of 2023. (MGE/PIA Isabela)
