CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela (PIA) – The Philippine Air Force (PAF), through the Tactical Operations Group (TOG) 2, showcased its operational capabilities at SM City Cauayan as part of the celebration of the PAF’s 78th anniversary.
Col. Glenn Piquero, Commander of PAF-TOG 2, said the two-day exhibit aims to highlight the PAF’s capabilities in search and rescue operations, special operations, and K9 unit functions.
“It is important for the public to be aware of the Philippine Air Force’s wide range of capabilities—not just in national defense, but also in humanitarian missions such as search and rescue,” Piquero said.
The exhibit served as a platform to inform residents of Northern Luzon about the PAF’s vital role in safeguarding the country’s sovereignty and supporting peace and security operations.
In addition to the static display, simulation demonstrations were conducted, featuring the 505th Search and Rescue Group, the PAF Special Operations Wing, K9 unit operations, and performances by the PAF-TOG 2 band.
Piquero also encouraged the youth to consider joining the Philippine Air Force, as recruitment activities are ongoing for interested applicants.
Those who wish to apply may visit the PAF-TOG 2 headquarters located at Cauayan City Airport for more information. (MGE/PIA Isabela)
