KALIBO, Aklan (PIA) — With the “ber” months now setting in and more people expected to head outdoors, the Aklan Provincial Police Office (APPO) has intensified its security forces through its Integrated Deployment Plan in all places of convergence to prevent criminality.
In an interview with APPO spokesperson PSSg. Jane Vega, she assured that they have beefed up their security measures and crime rates will be monitored.
She added that to deter crime in the province, police visibility is strictly implemented particularly on school premises as well as on public places.
“We may be depleted in strength, but we used it to maximize our resources,” she stated.
She also mentioned the solid support of the local chief executives all over the province for giving their force multipliers to heighten security efforts.
“The police are doing their best in securing the province with the help of other law enforcement agencies,” she said.
She noted that aside from Auxiliary Police at the municipal level and Peacekeeping Action Teams at the barangay level, active patrolling, school visitations, checkpoints, and inspections are also conducted in establishments.
“All of us in law enforcement have one major objective- to make Aklan a safer place to live for everyone,” she emphasized.
Despite the visible security forces of the Aklan PNP, she further appealed for the cooperation and support of the community to ensure a safe and secure province.
“Everyone is encouraged to keep their lines open with the police for possible police response and intervention anytime needed,” she said. (AGP/SQP/PIA-Aklan with reports from Chantal Jade V. Tolores, GIP-DOLE)
