AMCRA steps up Birth Registration Assistance Project

SAN JOSE, Antique (PIA) — The Association of Municipal Civil Registrars in Antique or AMCRA reiterated its commitment to the implementation of the Birth Registration Assistance Project (BRAP).

AMCRA president Ronald Rey Guamen urged all municipal civil registrars to reach out to more families or communities that need BRAP assistance.

Philippine Statistics Authority Chief Statistical Specialist Randy M. Tacogdoy took the lead in addressing concerns on civil registrations brought up during the meeting.

Tacogdoy emphasized the important role of the AMCRA in bringing in civil registration to the hard-to-reach barangays noting that the right to be registered is one basic right of every Filipino citizen. 

The team from PSA provided technical assistance to the AMCRA are registration officer Maria Leni Taladocon, birth registration coordinator Ember Grace F. Dioso, and assistant birth registration coordinator Bryan Noel V. Marzoña. 

The event was held at Campolly Highland Resort in Tuno, Tibiao, Antique.

During the meeting, the PSA team provided detailed guidance on the revised requirements and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy in handling birth registration under BRAP AMCRA, as an important partner of PSA in civil registration, vowed to sustain the partnership for more accurate and efficient civil registration services in Antique.
