Army division in Central Mindanao emphasizes support for PBBM’s Bagong Pilipinas

COTABATO CITY (PIA) – The 6th Infantry “Kampilan” Division (6ID) of the Philippine Army in Central Mindanao has expressed its full support and commitment to the “Bagong Pilipinas” initiative of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.

During a recent episode of the Philippine Information Agency’s (PIA) Talakayang Dose radio program, Lt. Col. Roden Orbon, spokesperson of the 6ID and commanding officer of the 6th Civil Military Operations “Kasangga” Battalion, discussed the army’s contributions to Marcos Jr.’s Bagong Pilipinas advocacy campaign.

Bilang military organization, nakikipagkaisa kami and we are fully supportive sa flagship advocacy na ito ng ating Commander-in-Chief, itong Bagong Pilipinas. Sinusuportahan po ito ng ating 6ID,” Orbon stressed.

(As a unified military group, we wholeheartedly support our Commander-in-Chief’s Bagong Pilipinas initiative. We in the 6ID strongly support it.)

According to Orbon, one of 6ID’s contributions to advocacy is to focus on their mission as advocates for peace, security, and order in their areas of responsibility (AOR).

Ang pinakamalaking contribution ng ating 6ID o ng AFP in pursuit of this very important advocacy is yung pagiging true to the tradition doon sa mga core values namin. Yung bravery, duty, loyalty and sacrifice,” he explained.

(The primary contribution of the 6ID, or the AFP as a whole, in pursuing this crucial advocacy is upholding the traditions of our core values—bravery, duty, loyalty, and sacrifice.)

He further stated that the 6ID will continue to strengthen its programs under the Philippines Army’s peace support operations, law enforcement support, and development support to help Bagong Pilipinas achieve its goals.

Pag nagagawa po namin yung aming mga mission guided by our core values ay nakikiambag na po kami dito po sa panawagan ng ating Commander-in-Chief para po dito sa Bagong Pilipinas advocacy,” Orbon pointed out.

(When we accomplish our missions guided by our core values, we are contributing to the call of our Commander-in-Chief for Bagong Pilipinas advocacy.)

Meanwhile, the official also recognized the contributions of 6ID’s partner agencies, such as the Philippine National Police, the Bangsamoro government, the Peace and Order Council, the Moro Islamic Liberation Front, the Moro National Liberation Front, and the local government units, in maintaining peace and order in their AOR.

The Soccsksargen and Bangsamoro regions, as well as the eight newly established municipalities in the Special Geographic Area in Cotabato province, are part of the 6ID’s coverage areas. (LTB – PIA Cotabato City)
