ARTA commends Alubijid’s eBOSS compliance

ALUBIJID, MISAMIS ORIENTAL (PIA) — The Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA) commended Alubijid, a 4th-class municipality in Misamis Oriental, for being compliant with establishing a fully functional electronic Business One-Stop Shop (eBOSS) on July 2, 2024.

In partnership with the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), and the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), ARTA is currently conducting eBOSS commendations nationwide in support of bolstering local economies and promoting President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s vision of improved bureaucratic efficiency.

In his acceptance speech, Alubijid Mayor Emmanuel “Emy” Jamis highlighted the significance of the ARTA’s eBOSS commendation in their local governance.

“These acknowledgements are a reflection of our steadfast dedication to the ideals of good governance and our hard work. It shows that we are headed in the right direction towards building a government that is more accessible, accountable, and effective for our citizenry,” Jamis added.

Optimistic about the progress of their municipality, a total of 16 barangay representatives from Alubijid attended the eBOSS commendation.

ARTA Secretary Ernesto V. Perez, who personally handed out the certificate of commendation, lauded Alubijid for establishing eBOSS.

“By becoming the 41st LGU commended by the Anti-Red Tape Authority for establishing an eBOSS, Alubijid sets an inspiring example for other municipalities in Misamis Oriental, particularly those involved in agriculture. Your embrace of eBOSS demonstrates the power of innovation and serves as a beacon of progress for others to emulate,” the ARTA chief said.

Misamis Oriental Gov. Peter M. Unabia, who joined the event, expressed his commitment to 100 percent compliance with eBOSS by the end of the year in the region.

“I’ve committed to Sec. Nes Perez that by year-end,  I think that is very doableand very achievable base on the review, only two municipalities ang wala pang pagtutok about Anti-Red Tape Act, but the other municipality, went to the DICT for the system,” Unabia said.

“So definitely, by the end, with the cooperation and support from all of us, kaya natin ito ma-achieve (we can achieve this),” he added.

Alubijid Vice Mayor Alvin Giovanni A. Labis, DICT-10 Regional Director Sittie Rahma V. Alawi, and DILG-10 Local Government Capability Development Division Chief Hazel L. Occeña were also present in support of the commendation.

Prior to Alubijid, ARTA recognized Manticao, Pavia, and Himamaylan City’s local government units with an eBOSS commendation. (ARTA/PIA-10/Misamis Oriental)
