CALAMBA CITY, Laguna (PIA) — The Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA) Southern Luzon is partnering with the Philippine Information Agency (PIA) Calabarzon to strengthen public awareness and understanding of anti-red tape policies and ease of doing business in the Calabarzon region.
In an exploratory talk between the two agencies held Friday, Director Karl Joseph Sanmocte, ARTA Regional Head for Southern Luzon, said the partnership is in line with the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. to boost the country’s bureaucratic efficiency.
Citing ARTA’s core mandate of improving the ease of doing business in the country, Sanmocte discussed the flagship programs and services of the six-year-old Agency before the PIA 4A regional employees.
Among the programs highlighted by Sanmocte include the National Policy on Regulatory Management System; streamlining and re-engineering; Citizen’s Charter; electronic Business One-Stop Shop; Zero Backlog Program, and; digitalization of services.
PIA 4A Regional Director Ma. Cristina C. Arzadon welcomed the collaboration and expressed her full support for the projects of ARTA. She also commits to helping the ARTA communicate its programs, projects, and policies using all the available platforms of the Agency.
Republic Act No. 11032 provides for the creation of ARTA. It envisions improving government service delivery by empowering citizens and stakeholders through good regulatory practices, streamlining and re-engineering of processes, collaboration, and application of technology. (FSC)
