ATI-RTC-10 reviews key memoranda to strengthen youth, extension worker scholarships

EL SALVADOR CITY (PIA) — The Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center (ATI-RTC)-10 conducted its year-end assessment for the Educational Assistance for the Youth (EAsy Agri) and Educational Grants for Extension Workers (EdGE) scholarship programs from January 9 to 11.

Center Director Maria Lydia A. Echavez reviewed two key memoranda: M23-09-931, which provides additional guidelines for the EAsy Agri program, and M23-09-895, which addresses thesis and dissertation allowances for the EdGE program.

“Resilience is important in overcoming failures and challenges. Scholars must persist and view these experiences as opportunities for growth,” she said.

Information Officer and OIC-ISS Chief Honeylou Bastasa presented ATI’s Digital Agriculture Program Initiatives, highlighting the role of technology in advancing agricultural education.

During the assessment, scholars shared their insights, experiences, and concerns. Norhannah Tampo, a Batch 1 EAsy Agri scholar, encouraged the succeeding batches to persevere, saying, “Pressure is a natural part of the journey.”

For his part. Senior Agriculturist and PAS Chief Javier P. Andalan thanked the scholars for their dedication. He underscored the importance of time management, perseverance, resilience, and simplicity as key traits for success. (ATI-10/PIA-10)
