MARAWI CITY (PIA)–Police authorities in Lanao del Sur province seized more than P4 million worth of suspected shabu during a drug buy-bust operation in Brgy. Biaba Damag here in the city on December 23.
The Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit of Lanao del Sur Police Provincial Office (LDSPPO) led the law enforcement operation in partnership with the 1st and 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company, 1402nd and 1403rd Regional Mobile Force Company of Regional Mobile Force Battalion, Marawi City Police Station, and Marantao Municipal Police Station.
Authorities arrested six people and illegal drugs during the operation for violating Republic Act 9165.
Also seized from the suspects 600 grams of suspected shabu worth P4,080,000; a colored gray vehicle; two P1,000 marked money bills placed on top and bottom of a P300,000 boodle (buy-bust) money; a pink eco bag; two black cellular phone keypads; and four identification cards.
Authorities brought the suspects and recovered pieces of evidence to Marawi City Police Station for documentation and to prepare appropriate criminal charges.
