Bagong Pilipinas brings back-to-back services for all

Not just farmers, fisherfolk and entrepreneurs that will enjoy all out support from the government but all Cagayan Valley folks as the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Region 2 conduct two grandest events this week in support to the goals of Bagong Pilipinas.

Aimed at helping to uplift the lives of farmers and micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and the members of the society to avail of government services, the Grand Bagsakan is happening now in Metro Manila until November 22, 2023 while the Bagong Pilipinas Grand Caravan will be on Nov. 25 – 26, 2023.

DTI 2 Regional Director Romlea Pulido Ocampo said the Grand Bagsakan is DTI’s way of encouraging a healthier lifestyle for everyone as farm- fresh and quality veggies that are affordable and pesticide – safe agricultural products are brought to Metro Manila.

Hassle-free shopping is encouraged as said products can be purchased through Mayani PH platform and everything will be delivered right at their doorsteps, however, walk-in buyers are also encouraged.

Meanwhile, all ready for the conduct of the biggest and largest Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Caravan which government’s way to deliver quality services closer to clients.

“Get ready to explore and avail the many DTI programs and services conveniently, all in one place through the Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Caravan,” DTI Regional Director Lea Pulido Ocampo said.

All agencies during the last coordination meeting has assured their readiness for the event.

Among the lined-up activities include the Rise Up Financing, Online Business Name Registration, Barangay Micro Business Name Registration, One Town One Product (OTOP) Mini Fair, Diskwento Caravan, Product Standard Showcase and Negosyo Center Business Counselling Services.

Pulido said one should not miss this opportunity to enjoy government services all in one place.

Scheduled on November 25-26, it’s a weekend celebration as government service providers will share their best and most – sought programs to the populace.

The Department of Health (DOH) will share their “Lab for All” program or the giving of free medical services to the people. It’s an initiative of the government geared towards the realization of Universal Health Care that will guarantee that all Filipinos have equitable access to quality and affordable healthcare goods and services and the opportunity financial risk protection. There will also be turn-over of medical equipment and distribution of wheelchairs.

For the Department of Agriculture (DA), there will be distribution of financial assistance for farmers, distribution of seeds and fertilizers and farm equipment and machineries. Products of farmers and fisherfolk will also be on sale though the KADIWA ng Pangulo as a way to help our local products sell their produce and for our consumer to avail affordable, fresh and pesticide-safe products.

All set for the Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair will almost 25 government agencies to deliver their programs, projects and services.

The Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) will also turn-over fish cages, fish feeds and fingerling distribution and sale of seafoods.

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) will distribute assistance for Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARBs); provide assistance to Persons with Disabilities (PWDs), Indigenous Peoples (IPs), teachers, transport sector and fisherfolks; and convergence with partner agencies.

Other agencies like The Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA), National Food Authority (NFA) and the Public Attorney’s Office (PAO) will also render their programs and services during the two-day caravan.

Agencies like the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR), Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), Commission on Higher Education (CHED), Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Department of Science and Technology (DOST) and the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) will also provide livelihood, educational and other services to the attendees.

Other regulatory functions of the Philippine National Police (PNP), Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), Lant Transportation Office (LTO), National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) and the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC).

The Social Security System (SSS), Philhealth and Government Service Insurance (GSIS) and Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) will also be sharing their programs and services. Director Pulido said this is so far one of the biggest caravans to be conducted where all agencies of the government are gathered together.
