MANDALUYONG CITY, (PIA) — To further advance the country’s micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) on Wednesday launched the Bagong Pilipinas Marketplace – the country’s largest business-to-business e-commerce platform.
President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr., First Lady Louise Araneta-Marcos, and Trade and Industry Secretary Cristina Roque led the launching of the digital marketplace alongside with the opening of the Bagong Pilipinas National Food Fair at the SM Megamall in Mandaluyong City.
“This is very important because this is using the digital technology to expand markets, to expand supply chains, to make more efficient delivery of goods and services,” said Pres. Marcos, Jr.
The Bagong Pilipinas Marketplace is the largest digital gateway for Filipino MSMEs to engage in wholesale trade and connect with both local and global markets. It can be accessed here: https://dtimarketplace.gov.ph/

The President likewise acknowledged the importance of celebrating the Filipino Food Month.
“This April we are celebrating the Filipino Food Month, an important occasion where we honor valued traditions passed down through generations reflecting our identities as Filipinos through the food that we prepare and enjoy.”
He added that the National Food Fair is more than a gastronomic celebration of our rich and diverse culinary heritage but also a testimony to the incredible talent, ingenuity, industry of our local farmers and artisans who bring pride and honor to our country.
“From the Northern Highlands of Luzon, Central Islands of the Visayas, to the Southern Seas of Mindanao, we have found the very best what our people can offer.”

The food fair features over 250 outstanding food-based MSMEs from across the country. It aims to promote sustainability and the adoption of technology in food production, packaging and manufacturing while accelerating the digital transformation of Filipino MSMEs through tools for e-commerce, digital marketing, logistics and cashless payment solutions.
The Bagong Pilipinas National Food Fair will run until April 13, 2025 at the Megatrade Halls, 1-3, 5th Level, Mega B, SM Megamall in Mandaluyong City. Admission is free. (JEG/PIA-NCR)
