QUEZON CITY (PIA) — Some of the 28 provincial recipients in Mindanao of the Bagong Pilipinas Mobile Clinics (BPMC) were all praises for President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. as units of the mobile primary care facility begin arriving in their respective destination province.
The province of Basilan acknowledged the arrival from Manila of the mobile clinic on September 25.
Provincial Governor Jim Hataman Salliman personally received the mobile clinic together with PHO Dr. Shariffa Abbas Alvarez, PHRRMO Manny Muarip, and Norita Lozano Sario.
In a social media post, Zamboanga Sibugay Governor Ann K. Hofer welcomed the arrival of the mobile clinic, “It’s finally here!”
Likewise, the province of Agusan del Norte, led by Governor Ma. Angelica Rosedell M. Amante, together with Congressional Rep. Dale B. Corvera, expressed gratitude to President Marcos Jr. and First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos for providing the province with one unit of Bagong Pilipinas mobile clinic.
Agusan del Norte is among the first batch of provinces to receive the mobile clinic vans, a game changer for healthcare delivery in the provinces. “This initiative will not only enhance access to medical care but also promote preventive health measures in the countryside communities,” Rep. Corvera said.
Words of gratitude
During the ceremonial turnover of the 28 units of the Bagong Pilipinas mobile clinics on September 20, the provincial government of Davao Oriental led by Governor Niño Uy thanked President Marcos Jr., saying, “Many communities in Davao Oriental can take advantage of the mobile clinic services, which can help solve the lack of facilities and doctors in the province. Maraming Salamat po.”
For the people of Davao de Oro, Governor Dorothy “Dotdot” M. Gonzaga said, “Daghang Salamat ug mabuhay ka PBBM from the people of Davao de Oro!”
The province of Maguindanao del Sur also thanked the president for the BPMC during the ceremonial turnover in Manila. In a social media post, the provincial government said, “The delivery of basic health services in the province gets a boost with the mobile clinic given to them, especially in bringing healthcare services closer to communities.”
Provincial Administrator Attorney Cyrus E. Torreña personally received the Bagong Pilipinas mobile clinic during the turnover ceremony in Manila.
In his social media post, Zamboanga del Sur Gov. Victor J. Yu, who attended the turnover ceremony, said, “Thank you very much, PBBM! ”
Sultan Kudarat Governor Datu Pax Ali Mangudadatu, in his post after the mobile clinic turnover, said, “Lubos na nagpapasalamat ang probinsya dahil malaking tulong ang proyektong ito upang mapalakas ang serbisyong pangkalusugan para sa mga mamamayan ng rehiyon.”
On September 20, 2024, President Marcos Jr., together with the First Lady, led the turnover of 28 Bagong Pilipinas mobile clinics intended for Mindanao provinces.
Each mobile clinic contains a standard set of equipment such as an x-ray machine, ultrasound, laboratory equipment, telemedicine kit, generator set, vehicle airbags, and an air conditioning unit.
The mobile clinic vehicles will be distributed to Region IX (Zamboanga del Norte, Zamboanga del Sur, Zamboanga Sibugay); Region X (Bukidnon, Camiguin, Lanao del Norte, Misamis Occidental, Misamis Oriental, Lanao del Norte); Region XI (Davao de Oro, Davao del Norte, Davao del Sur, Davao Occidental, Davao Oriental); and Region XII (North Cotabato, Sarangani, South Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat).
The Caraga region, composed of Agusan del Norte, Agusan del Sur, Dinagat Islands, Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sur, and the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), including Basilan, Lanao del Sur, Maguindanao del Norte, Maguindanao del Sur, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi, will also receive the mobile clinics.
