MARAWI CITY, Lanao del Sur (PIA)—The Bangsamoro Youth Commission (BYC) remains steadfast in its commitment to providing more opportunities for the growth and development of Bangsamoro youth.
This was reaffirmed by BYC chairperson and Member of Parliament Marjanie Macasalong during the celebration of International Youth Day in Lanao del Sur province.
He said his office will continue to partner with other stakeholders to advance youth development in the Bangsamoro region.
BYC was founded in 2020 to empower young people to realize their full potential and contribute to the development of their respective communities.
Macasalong said the various programs of the Commission have provided a platform for the youth to voice their opinions, participate in different initiatives, and contribute to implementing several projects and activities in their respective communities.
Among these are the provision of seedlings to young farmers, accommodation of job-ready student-interns from various schools, a scholarship program for the youth, tree planting activities, and provincial youth formation activities.
The commission also became an instrument in promoting and protecting the rights of the Bangsamoro youth.
“As we move forward into another year of service and progress, let us all commit ourselves to continue working tirelessly in advancing the cause of the Bangsamoro youth. Let us use this occasion as an opportunity to renew our commitment to promoting moral governance and building a better future for all, especially for the younger generation,” Macasalong said.
