LAGAWE, Ifugao (PIA) — Beneficiaries of government programs and services through the various national line agencies in the province are thankful for the provided assistance.
Rodelyn Aruejo and Hazarel Rex Cayong, graduates of the Ifugao State University, are proud of being beneficiaries of the Government Internship Program (GIP) of the Department of Labor and Employment.
Aruejo stressed that the GIP helped her and her family financially. “ Through the GIP I was able also to save money,” she added.
Cayong shared also that the internship program provided him new learnings and knowledge that are applicable to his future career. “ It’s challenging but I gained experience on how to work in government offices,” he stated.
Mica Takinan-Yogyog and David Palaguitang, Jr., recipients of the special training for employment program of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority, shared that the skills they learned are their stepping stone for successful business opportunities in the future.
Yogyog and Palaguitang are among the 186 beneficiaries of the STEP, a community-based training program designed to meet the specific skills needs of communities, fostering employment through entrepreneurial, self-employment, and service-oriented activities.
Meanwhile, Maria Tuguinay and Leonida Sabaway are both happy to receive their wages as beneficiaries of the DOLE’s Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers program.
Tuguinay and Sabaway lauded the government for the help and they will use the money for the daily needs.
The TESDA and DOLE provided the said assistance to the beneficiaries during the pay-out and awarding of stipend and tool kits in Lagawe town recently. (MBL- PIA CAR, Ifugao)
