Bersamin thanks public’s ‘overwhelmingly positive’ support for govt initiatives

MANILA, (PIA) — Executive Secretary Lucas P. Bersamin expressed gratitude for the public’s continued support, as reflected in recent survey results that indicate “overwhelmingly positive” sentiments towards government initiatives.

As always, we are grateful for the people’s support, as reflected in surveys that have consistently placed us in overwhelmingly positive territory,” Bersamin said.

The official praised the encouraging feedback regarding the government’s response to calamities and disasters, its delivery of basic education, and efforts to alleviate poverty and create jobs for workers.

He also acknowledged the positive reception of initiatives aimed at building housing, ensuring food security, and improving transportation systems.

However, Bersamin emphasized that surveys primarily serve as a “weathervane” for public opinion, showcasing support for enacted policies but not necessarily their overall impact on citizens’ lives.

The truest measure of public service is whether we improve our people’s lives,” he said. “This remains the primary standard by which we measure our work.”

Bersamin also noted the importance of these survey results as valuable feedback tools that can help enhance service delivery moving forward. (JCO/PIA-NCR)
