Bicol 4Ps beneficiaries to get Malacañang’s continued support

NAGA CITY, Camarines Sur (PIA) – Beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) will have opportunities to improve their lives even after their eligibility ends. Today, March 7, the Office of the President is launching the “Trabaho at Serbisyong Pangkalusugan Fair” for these beneficiaries at the Fuerte Sports Complex in Pili, Camarines Sur.

This fair aims to bring together various government offices to provide disadvantaged families with stable employment opportunities.

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has encouraged agencies to ensure that families graduating from or exiting the 4Ps program can continue to sustain their livelihoods even after they stop receiving government assistance.

The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Regional Office 5 will participate in the fair, offering job seekers access to 3,000 job opportunities under its “Trabaho sa Bagong Pilipinas” program.

Additionally, DOLE RO 5 will set up a one-stop shop where agencies such as the Social Security System (SSS), Philippine Health Insurance Corp. (PhilHealth), Home Development Mutual Fund (HDMF), Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), and the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) will assist applicants in obtaining the requirements for job applications.

Exactly 749 workers from the “Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantage/Displaced” (TUPAD) program will receive their payouts from the DOLE.

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) is also set to provide compensation to over 6,000 beneficiaries from the towns of Pili, Milaor, Minalabac, Libmanan, Naga City, and other municipalities through its Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation and Ayuda Para sa Kapos ang Kita programs.

The Department of Agriculture (DA) will showcase fresh farm produce from 30 exhibitors at the venue. These quality and affordable items will be available at the Kadiwa booth.

4Ps members and individuals from vulnerable sectors such as persons with disabilities (PWDs) and senior citizens, will receive priority access to rice priced at P29 per kilogram, produced by the National Irrigation Administration (NIA). Each bag contains 10 kilograms of rice.

The Department of Health (DOH), along with personnel from the Bicol Medical Center (BMC), will provide specialists at the venue and set up a mobile laboratory.

Seniors, PWDs, and 4Ps beneficiaries will have access to free services including dental check-ups, eye and dermatology consultations, X-rays, and cancer screening. (PIA 5)
