BORONGAN CITY (PIA) — The Borongan City Schools Division confirms that 3,796 delegates will attend the Regional Schools Press Conference (RSPC) and the Regional Festival of Talents (RFOT) which will be held in this city.
The RSPC will take place on February 7-11, while the festival of talents will be held on February 16-19.
In a press briefing with the local media, Schools Division Superintendent Edgar Y. Tenasas said the 10 billeting schools, contest venues, and the City of Borongan are ready to welcome and accommodate around 2,366 RSPC delegates and 1,430 RFOT delegates from 13 school divisions in Eastern Visayas.
The local government of Borongan City has allocated P5.4 million to support logistics, procurement, and other expenses related to event hosting.
To ensure the safety and security of all attendees, the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) will oversee security during both events.
The DepEd City division has also identified committees and organized coordination meetings with various agencies in the city to guarantee the successful execution of the events.
The host school, Eastern Samar National Comprehensive High School, conducted a school-wide clean-up involving students, teachers, parents, and stakeholders to ensure the school is ready for the contests. (SCJ, PIA Eastern Samar)
