DAVAO CITY (PIA)- – Mindanao Development Authority (MinDA) Secretary Leo Tereso Magno said the ongoing Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair (BPSF) he dubbed as “Mindanao Serbisyo Para sa Mindanao“ has made Mindanao a land of fulfillment.
As he opens the Davao City leg BPSF, Magno also cites the event as a unified effort of the national government to deliver services in a fast and orderly means towards achieving a happy and convenient Bagong Pilipinas way of life.
The Davao City leg BPSF that Magno dubbed as “Mindanao Serbisyo Para sa Mindanao“ generated some 250,000 beneficiaries gathered at the University of Southeastern Philippines (USEP), Barrio Obrero Campus to benefit from pooled government services of most national line agencies.
“This serbisyo fair shows that what we can do this much with a government that works together, a government that all is ready to serve for a common goal: ang makapagbigay ng mabilis at maaayos na pamamahala tungo sa isang masaya at maginhawang Bagong Pilipinas. (to give fast and orderly means towards a happy and convenient Bagong Pilipinas)” Magno said.

“Dahil sa ginagawang ninyong serbisyo at tulong, ang Mindanao ay hindi manatiling lugar ng pangako, hindi mananatilig land of promise, kun’di, lugar ng katuparan at lugar ng kaganapan,” he said.
[With your services and help, Mindanao won’t stay as a land of promise but it has become a place of fulfillment , a place of happening.]
Magno expressed gratitude for the trust pinned on MinDA “to bring this national initiative” to Davao City, to serve the Filipinos in Mindanao.
“It is an honor of MinDA to be part of serving the Mindanawans in Davao City,” he said.
On top of Magno, the BPSF Davao City leg also brings together other key national government officials, specifically Civil Service Commission (CSC) Chairman Karlo Nograles and more than 200 members of the House of Representatives to attend the Opening Program together with House Speaker Martin Romualdez.
In her message, Congresswoman Margarita Nograles of PBA Partylist cited the Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair (BPSF) Davao City leg as the biggest haul of government services with an estimated total of P1.2 billion, benefitting some 250,000.
