BSP highlights partnership towards economic recovery and resiliency

BAGUIO CITY (PIA) – – Highlighting the importance of partnerships in moving forward economic recovery and resiliency, the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas recognized the Outstanding BSP Stakeholders in the country.

The BSP conducted the 2022 Outstanding BSP Stakeholders Appreciation Ceremony for North Luzon at Hotel Grande here on January 23.

For being valuable partners of BSP in preserving the integrity and stability of the country’s financial system, recognized   were the Land Bank of the Philippines – Pangasinan Branch, the LBP San Fernando Pampanga Cash Operation Unit, the Metrobank Cabanatuan – Burgos Branch, and the China Bank Cabanatuan – Maharlika Branch.

Also given recognition is the Cauayan City, Isabela Public for being persistently pro – active in supporting the financial inclusion initiatives of the BSP and for being a partner in promoting financial literacy in all the barangays of Cauayan City.

BSP Deputy Governor Bernadette Romulo – Puyat expressed BSP’s gratitude to the awardees for being valuable partners of Bangko Sentral in bringing a robust, sustainable and inclusive Philippine economy.

“The strong collaboration between the BSP and you, our dear partners, is a significant component of the whole – of – nation approach in economic recovery. Your contribution helped ease the adverse impact of the COVID – 19 crisis on our people, stimulate economic growth and ensure resiliency for all, especially the vulnerable”, Puyat said.

“The recognition that the BSP gives you today is a sincere expression of our profound gratitude to all. I hope that we all continue to work together toward achieving our shared goal of a robust, sustainable and inclusive Philippine economy,” she added.

BSP Governor and Monetary Board Chairman Felipe Medalla, in his video message, calls for a continuing partnership towards bringing a better quality of life to all Filipinos.

“Today we put the spotlight on eight of our partners in North Luzon for their contribution in the pillars of price stability, financial stability and safe, secure and efficient payments and settlement system”.
