Budget chief pushes professionalization of govt procurement in 2023 summit

QUEZON CITY, (PIA) — Department of Budget and Management (DBM) Secretary Amenah F. Pangandaman called on partners and stakeholders to take part in reinforcing a procurement system that is trusted by the people during the Procurement Summit 2023 which kicked off today, October 23, at the PICC in Pasay City. 

This year, we take our Procurement Summit to the next level guided by our theme, Building a Cadre of Procurement Professionals as Catalysts for Innovation and Competitiveness,” Secretary Pangandaman said in her keynote address. 

Spearheaded by the Government Procurement Policy Board-Technical Support Office (GPPB-TSO), the Summit offers a unique platform for knowledge sharing, networking, and exploring innovative strategies that can revolutionize the procurement landscape.

Also present in the program were GPPB-TSO Executive Director Atty. Rowena Candice M. Ruiz, Procurement Service-DBM Executive Director Atty. Dennis S. Santiago, DBM Undersecretaries Margaux V. Salcedo and Maria Francesca M. Del Rosario, Assistant Secretary Rolando U. Toledo, World Bank Senior Procurement Specialist Mr. Dominic Aumentado, and other senior officials from various government agencies. (PIA-NCR)
