TITAY, Zamboanga Sibugay (PIA) – To build a culture of safety, the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) in Zamboanga Sibugay brought fire safety lessons to Gugawang Bugas Elementary School with “Kwentuhan at Kaligtasan,” an engaging storytelling session.

Fire Supt. Jacqueline Ortega emphasized the importance of early fire safety education through interactive activities.

“We believe that educating children on fire safety at an early age helps build a culture of preparedness,” she said.

The event transformed fire prevention education into an engaging experience for young learners. A storytelling session captured the pupils’ attention, blending fun and learning to make fire safety easy to understand.

Beyond a story, the session emphasized real-life fire safety practices, teaching children how to stay safe and respond during emergencies.

The interactive format encouraged pupils to ask questions, deepening their understanding of fire hazards.

By incorporating storytelling into safety education, BFP Zamboanga Sibugay made learning both engaging and memorable. The initiative underscored the importance of early awareness in shaping a fire-conscious community.

Through initiatives like “Kwentuhan at Kaligtasan,” the BFP in Zamboanga Sibugay continues to empower young learners with essential fire safety knowledge, fostering a well-prepared and fire-conscious community. (EDT/RBI/PIA9-Zamboanga Sibugay)
