MALAYBALAY CITY (PIA)–The province of Bukidnon is primed and ready to host the country’s 6th Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair (BPSF) this November 11 and 12 at the main campus of Bukidnon State University in Malaybalay City, Bukidnon.
A flagship project of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., BPSF is the nation’s largest service caravan that brings essential services closer to underserved communities.
Line agencies clarified how to handle connectivity problems and other unforeseen hiccups during the largest service caravan in the province at the final alignment meeting on November 8 under the direction of Bukidnon 2nd District Representative Jonathan Keith Flores.
National Secretariat Team Leader Shawn Kemp Capucion said the “Serbisyo” includes flagship programs such as Kadiwa ng Pangulo, which sells affordable food and essentials; Passport on Wheels, which allows people to apply and renew their passports without having to travel to a major city; student drivers license registration, which makes it easier for students to obtain their licenses; and Lab for All, which provides free medical consultations and laboratory tests to needy patients.

Various livelihood programs, social services, educational programs, and regulatory services, among others, will also be offered.
He said other government agencies, such as the Department of Social Welfare and Development, the Department of Health, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, and the Social Security System, also offer services in the two-day caravan.
BPSF organizers estimate that the service caravan will attract over 80,000 participants, noting that registration for some services is still open.
Capucion said the Serbisyo Fair was launched simultaneously in Camarines Sur, Laoag in Ilocos Norte, Tolosa in Leyte, and Monkayo in Davao de Oro on September 23 and 24 of this year. The BPSF’s fifth stop was in Laguna Province on November 4 and 5.
This November, he said three more provinces in the country—Bukidnon, Iloilo, and Isabela—will host the people’s caravan.
Meanwhile, Flores encourages the public to take advantage of this two-day event, which features the active participation of over 40 agencies.
“This is the best example of the government reaching out to its people to deliver services. It is no longer difficult to find the government because it is bringing services directly to the people,” he said.
The lawmaker explained that the BPSF will allow Bukidnons to access government services free of charge, serving as a platform for participating agencies to showcase their programs and initiatives. (BGE/PIA-10/Bukidnon)
