Cadiao leads Antiqueños in thanking PBBM for various gov’t aid

SAN JOSE, Antique (PIA) —  President Ferdinand “Bongbong” R. Marcos Jr.  and the national government agencies received the appreciation of Antiqueños led by Gov. Rhodora J. Cadiao during the latter’s recent visit in the province.

Cadiao lauded the unwavering commitment of the Marcos administration in helping the marginalized sector, noting her optimism that Antique and its people will continue to be given priority by the government.

“Sa pamununo ni President Marcos sa kasalukuyang administrasyon, mataas ang aming pag-asa na ang Antique ay hindi mahuhuli sa ibang lalawigan sa bansa. Sa muli po, lubos ang pasasalamat ng aming munting probinsya sa ating Pangulo,” Cadiao said as she welcomed the President on stage.

(With the leadership of President Marcos and the present administration, we have high hopes here in Antique, that we will not fall behind compared to other provinces in the country. Again, we wholeheartedly express our appreciation from our humble province, Mr. President.)

“Ang inyong pagsuporta sa aming lalawigan ay nagdulot ng malaking pag-unlad sa aming mga sektor at kami ay labis na nagpapasalamat na maging benepisyaryo ng inyong mga pangunahing programa tulad ng AKAP, AICS, at TUPAD,” she added.

(Your support to our province has helped many sectoral groups. With that, we are grateful to be a recipient of various government programs such as AKAP, AICS and TUPAD.)

She also conveyed gratitude on behalf of 750 Antiqueño residents for the opening of the Lugta Housing project in the municipality of Laua-an, which had remained vacant for a decade.

Mayor Aser Baladjay of Laua-an, Antique, in an interview, thanked the president for granting aid to the Antiqueños, especially to the people of Laua-an whose livelihoods are affected by the long dry months.

Farmer leader Joebert Daniel of Inabasan Farmers Association, San Jose de Buenavista,  in an interview with Radio Television Malacañang (RTVM), shared happiness for receiving farm implements and facilities that could help them during land preparation and management of their farms.

He lauded the farm mechanization program of the government that could help the small farmers a lot.

Provincial Farmer and Fishery Council Chair Arnold Balangao, also a member of Maybato Farmers Association, shared the same gratitude to the President for looking after the needs of the small farmers affected by the El Niño phenomenon.

“Masaya kami na bibigyan kami ng financial assistance para meron kaming panggastos ulit sa aming sakahan,” he said.
