CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY (PIA) — The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Misamis Oriental generated P600,741.05 in sales and served 4,047 customers during the Diskwento Caravan Women’s Month Edition held from March 19-21, 2025, at the Cagayan de Oro City Hall Mini Park.
A total of 23 manufacturers and retailers from Cagayan de Oro City and Misamis Oriental participated in the three-day event.
DTI Misamis Oriental OIC-Provincial Director Jesusa M. Abear highlighted the significance of the Diskwento Caravan in providing affordable basic goods to consumers.
“Ang Diskwento Caravan is a flagship program of DTI in support sa atong consumers. Pinaagi sa Price Act, gahatag og financial relief,” Abear said.

DTI collaborates with manufacturers and distributors of basic necessities and prime commodities to offer goods at reduced prices during the caravan.
The event also provides an opportunity for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to expand their market reach.
The Women’s Month edition of the Diskwento Caravan was organized in partnership with the City Government of Cagayan de Oro, Public Employment Service Office (PESO) Cagayan de Oro, and the City Gender and Development Office. (DTI-10/PIA-10)
