Calapan local gov’t extends medical services to Brgy. Sapul, Personas

CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro (PIA) — The health services of the city government of Calapan have reached its residents, particularly in Barangays Sapul and Personas, through its mobile clinics.

Dubbed the Expanded Health Program, it is an initiative of the city government of Calapan that involves setting up mobile clinics. It provides regular visits of health workers “to ensure that residents have access to essential medical services.”

Among the services availed of by the residents in said villages during the mobile clinic were free medical consultations, free tooth extractions, free x-ray laboratories, and free medicines.

In a social media post, Calapan City government said that the program aims to reach far-flung areas in the city, which reduces barriers to accessing basic medical services.

“The continuous implementation of the expanded health program in different barangays is proof of our commitment to care for the health of our beloved Calapeños,” Mayor Malou Flores-Morillo said.

She added “Sa tulong ng ating masisipag na mga volunteer health workers at mga opisyal, natutugunan ang pangangailangang pangkalusugan ng ating mga kababayan.” (AS/PIA MIMAROPA-Oriental Mindoro)
