QUEZON CITY, (PIA) –The City Government of Caloocan recently hosted a People’s Law Enforcement Board (PLEB) Consultative Meeting attended by the National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM) and other Metro Manila local government units.
The consultative meeting held Thursday, October 12 at the Bulwagang Katipunan aims to revisit NAPOLCOM Memorandum Circular 2016-002, which provides the rules of procedure in disciplinary and administrative cases against policemen, in addition to addressing the concerns surrounding local PLEBs.
Caloocan City Mayor Dale Gonzalo “Along” Malapitan expressed his gratitude towards the NAPOLCOM and the representatives of other local boards for their valuable contribution to hold erring law enforcers accountable.
The City Mayor also emphasized the significance of a holistic approach in law enforcement, which involves empowering members of the police force to respond to any situation and recognizing their excellent efforts in keeping communities safe, while also actively rooting out those that abuse said power.
(pio caloocan/pia-ncr)
