Caloocan City hospitals offer free health services for Breast Cancer Awareness Month

QUEZON CITY, (PIA) — In observance of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Caloocan City Medical Center (CCMC) and the Caloocan City North Medical Center (CCNMC) have launched a month-long initiative providing free health services specifically for women.

Throughout October, the hospitals will offer daily services from Monday to Friday, including complimentary breast and pregnancy ultrasounds, as well as free excisions to remove lumps or cysts.

City Mayor Dale Gonzalo “Along” Malapitan urged women in Caloocan City to take advantage of these free services, emphasizing the importance of accessible and diversified healthcare tailored to the specific needs of the community.

(This October, the CCMC and CCNMC are offering free health services for women. We understand that the needs of our citizens vary depending on age, gender, and other considerations, which is why we strive to ensure that the health services received by our constituents are comprehensive and appropriate.)

He encouraged women to utilize these services to monitor their health, noting, “Mas mainam na pong malaman kaagad kung may mga pagbabago sa inyong katawan upang maagapan na kaagad at mabigyan ng tamang lunas o gamot.” (It is better to know immediately if there are any changes in your body so that you can address them promptly and receive the appropriate treatment or medication.)

The mayor also reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring that health services remain accessible, affordable, and of high quality for all residents.

(I know that good health is the foundation of the well-being of the residents of Caloocan, which is why I assure you all that under my administration, health projects will remain our priority.)

This initiative reflects Caloocan City’s ongoing efforts to promote health awareness and support the well-being of its citizens, particularly women during this important month of awareness. (JCO/PIA-NCR)
