Caloocan LGU grants CELA to 672 residents, ensures secure land ownership

MANILA, (PIA) — More than 600 individuals are set to benefit from the Caloocan City government’s initiative as 672 residents received a Certificate of Lot Allocation (CELA) in a ceremony led by Mayor Dale Gonzalo “Along” Malapitan.

The event, held recently, assured beneficiaries from Barangays 21, 25, and 33 that they are one step closer to obtaining full land titles for their properties. This grant marks a significant milestone for many who have faced decades of uncertainty regarding their land ownership.

Mayor Along acknowledged that while the issuance of CELA was not part of his initial campaign promises, his administration is committed to ensuring that residents have secure property rights, particularly those in need.

While I did not promise this before, we are working together as a city government to provide CELA to the beneficiaries for the land they have grown up on, giving them peace of mind regarding their properties,” Mayor Along said.

He also assured residents that more CELA certificates will be distributed in the coming months, aiming to protect the ownership interests of those who have fought for their rights over the years.

This initiative is part of a broader strategy, which includes existing low-cost housing programs implemented by the city government.

To all Batang Kankaloo, you can be assured that we will put an end to decades of struggle to secure your lands through the CELA program,” Mayor Along declared.

Alongside this, we are focused on helping our constituents access affordable housing for their future and their families,” he added.

The city’s efforts reflect a commitment to addressing long-standing issues of land ownership, providing residents with the security they deserve. (JCO/PIA-NCR)
