QUEZON CITY, (PIA) –Caloocan City’s Public Safety and Traffic Management Department (PSTMD) personnel recently received 30 new ticketing devices to aid in the implementation of the Single Ticketing System (STS).
The devices, which were evenly distributed to both North and South units of the PSTMD, are set to be fine-tuned to apply the penalties provided by the STS and harmonize local and national traffic regulations.
City Mayor Dale Gonzalo “Along” Malapitan reminded the motorists to observe traffic rules and noted that the success of the STS rests on the proper cooperation between various departments of the city government and the general public.
Likewise, Mayor Along expects that the procurement of new devices for said city personnel will lead to fewer instances of corrupt practices with regard to traffic management.
Additional 10 devices are set to be provided to the CCPS in the coming days as part of their own traffic management responsibilities. (pio Caloocan/pia-ncr)
