Caloocan upgrades medical equipment to enhance public health services

MANILA, (PIA) — Caloocan City Mayor Along Malapitan has prioritized the improvement of public health services in the city, focusing on ensuring that local hospitals are well-equipped to meet the medical needs of residents.

In a Facebook post, Malapitan detailed new medical equipment acquired for the Caloocan City Medical Center (CCMC), aimed at providing high-quality healthcare without requiring residents to travel far for medical assistance.

The newly purchased equipment includes:

  • Computed Tomography (CT) Scan Machine
  • Digital X-Ray Machine
  • Suction and Cautery Machine
  • Anesthesia Machine
  • Bacteriology Machine
  • Incubator & Bili Light Machine
  • Blood Chemistry Machine
  • Blood Bank Refrigerator
  • Cardiac Monitor
  • Centrifuge and Bloodbath Machine
  • Hematology Machine
  • Electrocardiogram (ECG) Machine
  • Treadmill Stress Test
  • 2D Echo Machine

Part of my priorities as mayor is to elevate the quality of public health, ensuring that our hospitals have adequate and quality equipment available for our Batang Kankaloo (residents) in times of need,” the mayor said.

The investment in new medical technology is expected to significantly enhance the capabilities of the CCMC, allowing for more comprehensive care and reducing the need for patients to seek treatment elsewhere.

The mayor emphasized that the upgrades are just the beginning of ongoing efforts to expand and improve medical services for the community.

The initiative reflects the city’s commitment to enhancing healthcare infrastructure and ensuring that residents have access to essential medical services.

As the city continues to grow, officials are optimistic that these upgrades will play a vital role in maintaining the health and well-being of the community. (JCO/PIA-NCR)
