CAMIGUIN (PIA) — Camiguin residents are experiencing improved access to clean and reliable water as Camiguin Water Company (CWC) continues to expand its reach across the province. Through a series of ongoing improvements, more households—including those in previously underserved areas—are now connected to a stable and consistent water supply.
Jonathan Sarsonas, general manager of CWC, emphasized the company’s commitment to ensuring that every resident, regardless of their location, has access to clean and affordable water.
“Our goal has always been to ensure that every home in Camiguin has access to safe and reliable water. Over the past months, we’ve made significant progress in expanding our reach and improving service delivery, but we recognize that there is still work to be done. We remain committed to improving our systems, extending service to more areas, and ensuring that no community is left behind,” Sarsonas said.
Recent efforts have resulted in increased water availability across multiple areas, allowing residents to experience stronger water pressure, a more consistent supply, and fewer service interruptions. However, some remote communities still face challenges in water access, and CWC is actively working to address these gaps.
“We acknowledge that some areas still need better coverage, and we are working towards solutions that will allow us to extend our network even further. Water access should not be a privilege—it’s a necessity, and we are making sure that more residents, especially those in hard-to-reach locations, can benefit from the improvements we are implementing,” Sarsonas added.
CWC is also calling on the public to use water responsibly to help maintain a sustainable supply. While efforts are underway to further expand coverage, the company reminds residents that conservation plays a key role in ensuring long-term water security.
