Capiz receives Bagong Pilipinas mobile clinic

ROXAS CITY, Capiz (PIA) — A symbolic key of the Bagong Pilipinas Mobile Diagnostic Clinic for Capiz was handed over by First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos to provincial administrator lawyer Arthur John Biñas and Provincial Health Office head Dr. Ramon Alex Nolasco during the turnover of the mobile clinic in Cebu City.

The Bagong Pilipinas mobile clinics, equipped with modern medical equipment, aim to deliver free medical services to communities.

It is inspired by the First Lady’s “Lab for All” initiative which aims to bring free medical consultations, laboratory services, and distribution of medicines to communities.

“We will work to have it licensed and attached to a hospital, preferably with the RMPH, before we bring it to the barangays,” said Nolasco.

The equipment will greatly help in the health services delivery for the Capiceños especially those in the remote barangays provincewide, he noted.

The provincial government has made great strides in public health delivery under the “May Gugma Na, May Angga Pa” (love and compassion) brand of governance of Gov. Fredenil H. Castro’s administration.

These include, among others, the establishment of a Capiz Dialysis Center with 15 initial dialysis machines and Eye Care Clinic at the Out Patient Department of the Roxas Memorial Provincial Hospital (RMPH) in Brgy. Lanot, Roxas City.

The provincial government is also operating at least 10 dialysis machines at the RMPH along Arnaldo Boulevard, here, which was recently augmented by three new dialysis machines donated by the Rotary Club of Makati GEMS and Rotary Club of Roxas.

The RMPH also received new medical equipment for its Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Department in 2023.

Another batch of medical equipment and devices that include hospital beds, baby bassinets, minor instrument set, defibrillator, orthopedic beds, electric delivery room table, and a Medtronic Integrated Power Console for surgery operation was also acquired by the RMPH early this year.
