ROXAS CITY, Capiz (PIA) — The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) through the Dumalag Vocational-Technical School (DVTS) has strengthened its partnership with Capiz State University (CapSU) Main Campus with the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) to provide more educational opportunities for learners.
The partnership allows TESDA-DVTS graduates of Automotive Technology, Welding and Fabrication Technology, and Culinary Technology to seamlessly transfer to CapSU to pursue a Bachelor of Industrial Technology degree.
According to the CapSU Public Information Office, the collaboration aims to enhance academic cooperation and facilitate a clear pathway for students from vocational courses to bachelor’s degree programs.
TESDA Capiz information officer Kenneth Lavezora highlighted that the partnership allows students to earn a bachelor’s degree by attending the equivalent of three years of instruction at DVTS and completing their fourth and final year at CapSU.
“The diploma to bachelor’s program is specifically designed to recognize the strong academic foundation that DVTS provides its students and the benefits that can be obtained from a bachelor’s degree in the field of Industrial Technology from CapSU,” Lavezora added.
Further, DVTS in Dumalag town recently conducted a Job Induction Program to help graduating trainees with essential knowledge and skills to prepare them for work.
As DVTS continues to help the graduates build a brighter future, the Job Induction Program assisted DVTS trainees in gaining valuable information and skills for finding work or starting their enterprises. (AGP/PLF/PIA Capiz)
