ROXAS CITY, Capiz (PIA) — The Public Employment Service Office (PESO) of Mambusao town has scheduled a two-day Special Recruitment Activity on Sept. 13 and 16 at the cultural center of the municipality to facilitate employment opportunities for job seekers.
PESO Mambusao manager Jerry Lacuarta said that work abroad will be offered by the employment agencies during the SRA.
“This is open for all town residents and nearby areas who want to apply for work,” Lacuarta noted, adding that applicants need to bring their resume and other pertinent documents for employment.
He added that PESO has been organizing yearly job fairs since 2016 in time with the municipality’s Inilusan Festival every November.
The local PESO has organized its network in the town’s 26 barangays through the establishment of the Barangay Employment Service Officers.
“We are also helping the Department of Labor and Employment implement their programs like the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers and Government Internship and Special Program for Employment of Students,” Lacuarta added.
During the PESO Awards of DOLE Regional Office 6, the PESO Mambusao has been one of the consistent awardees for implementing job fairs, support to the PESO Employment Information System and other employment–related programs.
Lacuarta attributed the awards to the support of Mambusao mayor Luzviminda Labao to the PESO initiatives and activities aimed at generating jobs for town residents. (AGP/AAL/PIA Capiz)
