BONTOC, Mountain Province (PIA) – The Provincial Advisory Group on Police Transformation and Development (PAGPTD), in partnership with the Mountain Province Police Provincial Office, launched the Community Awareness Responsibility and Education (CARE) Program promote crime prevention awareness in the community.
The program focuses on distributing information and education communication (IEC) materials to the public to raise awareness about crime prevention.
Atty. Agosto C. Libang, chairman of PAGPTD, emphasized the importance of these materials in educating the public on crime prevention saying these play a key role in empowering communities to take proactive steps against crimes.
“We implore everyone to actively participate in this endeavor with renewed enthusiasm and vigor with the end in view of attaining our vision for a better place to live, work, and do business,” he said.
PAGPTD member Ben Marrero elaborated that the IEC materials are not just posters and brochures; they are tools designed to empower everyone with the knowledge that we need to protect ourselves, our families, and our communities.
“We are not just unveiling materials; we are launching a movement towards a safe and more informed Mountain Province, ” he said.
Provincial Police Director Police Coronel OL Ferdinand N. Oydoc, represented by Police Lieutenant Colonel Bernardo K. Wong, expressed gratitude to all partners and stakeholders for their support.
“Let us set out on this journey together by sustaining the spirit of service, commitment, and responsibility to our constituents,” he said.
He stressed that this project aims to empower citizens, promote crime-free communities, and build strong relationships between the public and law enforcement.
