MANILA, (PIA) — Caritas Manila, the social arm of the Archdiocese Manila, has released P1.2 million to aid dioceses in the Bicol region that were greatly affected by Tropical Storm Kristine.
The six dioceses in Bicol will receive P200,000 each, which include the Archdiocese of Caceres, Diocese of Libmanan in Camarines Sur; Diocese of Virac, Catanduanes; Diocese of Daet, Camarines Norte; Diocese of Legazpi, Albay; and the Diocese of Sorsogon.
“On behalf of Caritas Manila, we will [again] help those affected by this typhoon, especially in the Bicol Region,” said Caritas Manila executive director, Fr. Anton CT. Pascual.
According to Fr. Pascual, Caritas Manila will provide relief and rehabilitation aid. He also encouraged everyone to pray for the people of Bicol especially those greatly affected by the tropical storm.
Meanwhile, Caritas Manila is calling for donations to help families in the Bicol Region and Quezon Province that were affected by flooding and landslides.
