CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela (PIA) — The Cauayan City Police Station, in partnership with the Commission on Elections (COMELEC), recently organized a unity walk, candidates’ forum, and peace covenant signing to promote a peaceful and orderly National and Local Elections (NLE) in the city.
Cauayan City Police Chief Lt. Col. Ernesto Nebalasca Jr., and Cauayan City Election Officer Joanne Vallejo, led the activity together with various local candidates, current city officials, and representatives from various government agencies.
Nebalasca emphasized that while the city has remained free from election-related incidents in past elections, the initiative aimed to ensure that the upcoming elections will be peaceful and orderly.
He expressed his gratitude to all the candidates and government personnel who participated and urged their continued support in upholding the integrity of the electoral process.
The event featured a candidates’ forum, an integrity pledge, and a peace covenant signing. Local candidates also familiarized themselves with the use of the Automated Counting Machine (ACM), symbolizing their commitment to a fair and smooth election process on May 12, 2025. (OTB/MGE/PIA Isabela)
