TRECE MARTIRES CITY, Cavite (PIA) – The Local Government Units (LGUs) of Noveleta town and Cavite city provide free influenza vaccines to Day Care Center (DCC) students, and residents of their respective localities in their campaign to protect them against influenza virus amid the ongoing CoVid-19 pandemic.
In Noveleta town, the free vaccination of flu vaccines to students of fourteen (14) DCCs in sixteen (16) barangays commenced on January 17 to 26.
Mayor Dino Chua said, “This is an offer from the local government of Noveleta, so that our children have protection against the flu, I encourage the parents to bring their children to the Day Care Centers to be vaccinated.”
According to Municipal Health Officer, Dr. Ma. Hilda Bucu, there are 600 flu vaccines allotted for Day Care pupils, and all barangay healthcare workers are already rotating on the scheduled days of vaccination.
Meanwhile, 150 slots for the free flu vaccines are scheduled to be distributed to DCC pupils in Cavite City on January 21, 2023 at the Cavite City MedCare Facility in Barangay 39.
City Mayor Denver Chua encouraged the city residents to bring their children to the vaccination site early since the vaccination is on a ‘First Come, First Serve’ basis. (RBF/PIA-Cavite)
