The Manila Public Information Office announced the suspension around noon, leading to similar measures in neighboring cities. A summary of the class cancellations includes:
- Quezon City: Afternoon classes in public schools are suspended.
- Marikina City: All levels in public and private schools have been suspended.
- Navotas City: Mayor John Rey Tiangco confirmed the cancellation of classes for kindergarten, senior high school, and the Alternative Learning System (ALS).
- Pasig City: Classes in daycares, senior high schools, and ALS are suspended in both public and private institutions.
- Taguig City: In-person classes from Kindergarten to Grade 12 and ALS students are suspended.
- Muntinlupa City: All levels in public and private schools are suspended.
- Mandaluyong City: Afternoon classes for preschool to Grade 12 and ALS are canceled.
- Malabon City: All levels in public and private schools are suspended.
- Pasay City: Classes from kindergarten to senior high school are canceled for the afternoon.
- Parañaque City: Afternoon classes in all levels, both public and private, are suspended.
