Collaborative efforts of various groups benefit Bontoc students

BONTOC, Mountain Province (PIA) — Learners  and faculty of the Mainit National High School  in this municipality are now benefitting from recently turned over  facilities.

 

Turned over on May 10 include a temporary learning school, a faculty and staff office, a mini-library, a computer room, a comfort room, and electrical and water sources.

 

These  were  realized through the collaborative efforts of various groups.

Community members of Barangay Mainit witness the turnover of projects to the Mainit National High School which will gratly benefit the students and teachers.

Mainit NHS  head Linda Angpeo expressed her gratitude to all stakeholders who helped in the construction of their learning school.

 

“Salamat ditoy projects nga inted you. These  will be used by the students nga pag iskwelaan da tapnu nasayaat ti future da” she said. She mentioned that the students are happy that their school is now nearer to them.

 

Students expressed their gratitude by offering a dance presentation and a poem.

 

Different units of the  Philippine National Police such as the 14th Special Action Battalion of the Special Action Force, and 1502nd Mobile Company  of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 15, and the Mountain Province Police Mobile Force Company provided free labor.

The Cordillera Golfers Foundation, Inc. (CGFI) provided P300,000 worth of materials while  various construction establishments and individual help in terms of logistics and materials.

Mainit National High school head Linda Angpeo thanks all those who have worked or contributed to the realization of procets in their school.

CGFI President Arnel I. Peil  challenged the community members to go beyond what was given to them and to think big in terms of the development of the school and of the community.

“Dakayo nga mamanong, mamanang ditoy ili, nayunan tayu pay kuma ta at least ada ti 5 nga hectarya ta law-lawaen tayu ti ayan ti skwelaan ta i-develop tayu.”
