SYUDAD SANG ILOILO (PIA) – Nagpahanumdom ang Commission on Elections (COMELEC) – Iloilo sa mga botante kag mga kandidato nga sakdagon kag hatagan sang importansiya ang integridad sang 2025 midterm elections bangud ini isa sa mga pundasyon sang demokrasya sa pungsod.
Ginpahayag ni Atty. Reinier Layson, Provincial Election Supervisor sang COMELEC-Iloilo, nga ang integridad sang eleksyon nagasandig sa kolektibo nga pagtinguha sang publiko kag sang mga kandidato kun sa diin ang publiko indi dapat mag-entra sa ano man nga ginadumilian nga mga aktibidad, lakip na ang pagbakal sang boto.
“For us, citizens, we must all reject any form of electoral fraud, especially vote-buying, which erodes public trust and weakens our institutions. Let us send a strong message today that Iloilo will not be swayed by money politics, intimidation, or deceit as we will stand together to protect the sanctity of the ballots and of course to uphold the will of the people,” siling ni Layson.
Ini ang ginpahayag ni Layson sa tion sang peace covenant signing nga ginpangunahan sang Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO) kag COMELEC, kaupod ang iban pa nga ahensya sang gobyerno, lakip na ang Philippine Information Agency, sa IPPO headquarters sa Camp Francisco Sumagaysay sa Sta. Barbara, Iloilo.
Nagtambong man sa kahiwatan ang pila ka mga kandidato sa probinsya kag nagpirma sang peace covenant nga nagapakita sang ila pangako para sa malinong nga eleksyon.
“To our candidates, you have the power to inspire, to respect the rule of law, and to champion your platforms based on genuine service rather than personal gain, and to set as an example of principled leadership,” pahayag ni Layson.
Samtang, ginpasiguro naman ni IPPO director Police Colonel Bayani Razalan ang luwas kag malinong nga pagpatigayon sang eleksyon.
“The Philippine National Police remains unwavering in its mission to provide necessary security to support both the voters and the candidates. We recognize that the peaceful conduct of elections goes beyond law enforcement as it is a collective duty and a commitment that each of us shares for the betterment of our nation’s future,” siling ni Razalan.
