CPD 6, FPOP launches family planning, wellness clinic in Iloilo town

ILOILO CITY (PIA) — The Family Planning Organization of the Philippines (FPOP) Iloilo Chapter, in partnership with the Commission on Population and Development (CPD) Region launched the Family Planning and Wellness Clinic at the CPD Region 6 Training Center in Pavia, Iloilo. 

The clinic will serve as a dedicated space to provide essential reproductive health and wellness services for the residents of Pavia town and surrounding local government units (LGUs).

“The establishment of the Family Planning and Wellness Clinic, made possible through the collaboration between the Commission on Population and Development Region 6 and the Family Planning Organization of the Philippines-Iloilo Chapter, is a manifestation of the agency’s commitment to promoting the Responsible Parenthood and Family Planning Program as ensconced in the Philippine Population and Development-Plan of Action 2023-2028,” said CPD 6 Regional Director Harold Alfred Marshall.

The program aims to increase awareness and access to reproductive health and wellness services and promote Responsible Parenthood and Family Planning (RPFP), and Adolescent Health and Development (AHD) information and services including HIV counseling and testing, among others.

“Through this facility, we are bringing family planning, reproductive health, and wellness services closer to our beneficiaries in Western Visayas,” Marshall added.

Marshall is expected to be joined by FPOP National President and CPD Board Commissioner Nandy Senoc, FPOP Iloilo Chapter manager Mona Liza S. Diones, Department of Health (DOH) Western Visayas Regional Director Dr. Adriano P. Suba-an, and the local officials from Iloilo province and Pavia town, among others. (AAL/FRG/PIA6)
