BANGUED, Abra (PIA) — The Council of Personnel Officers (CPO)-Abra Chapter looks forward to active interest in human resource management and empowerment as it elected its new set of officers for the term 2025-2026.
The CPO is an organization of Human Resource Management Officers (HRMOs) and practitioners from the national government agencies, local government units (LGUs), government owned and controlled corporations, and state universities and colleges.
CPO was created through the Administrative Code of the Philippines with the Civil Service Commission (CSC) as the Secretariat in the local level.
The CPO-Abra new set of elected officers are: President- Moilin Balaoro of Metro Bangued Water District, Vice Pres- Cherrie Lynn Bernal of the Bureau of Fire Protection, Secretary-Ma. Liza Pati of LGU San Quintin, Asst. Sec- Arnold Banatao of LGU Sallapadan, Treasurer- Roxanne Paligutan of Bucay Water District, Asst. Treasurer- Krisel Acedo of Metro Bangued Water District, Auditor- Virginia Baun of LGU Lacub, Public Relations Officer- Cesie Arce of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources, Business Manager: Emirenol Llaneza Jr. of University of Abra, and Board of Directors- Ianne April Bello of DENR, Marilyn Borgonia of Lagangilang Water District, Catherine Pambalan of LGU Lagayan, and Pinky Leonor of the Provincial Government. CSC-Abra Provincial Director Ruby Verceles committed her support to the new set of officers towards HR empowerment in Abra.
“Rest assured that I will be of help, gusto ko maging active tayo at magkaroon tayo ng projects para kung may conferences may ipagmamalaki tayong active na CPO dito sa Abra,” Verceles said.
Balaoro solicited the cooperation of CPO members to all the programs and activities of the group.
“Thank you for electing us as your officers. We need your cooperation so that our organization will stay active most especially by attending our quarterly meeting,” Balaoro said.
Last year, the CPO Abra Chapter implemented various projects and activities such as outreach programs, HRMO conferences, and tree planting activities. (JDP/CAGT-PIA CAR, Abra)
