CSAT empowers 49 skill-training completers in Camiguin

GUINSILIBAN, Camiguin (PIA)– The Camiguin School of Arts and Trades (CSAT), in collaboration with the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Camiguin, facilitated the graduation of 25 learners in Bread and Pastry Production NC II and 24 in Tile Setting NC II skills training at Barangay Cantaan, Guinsiliban, on December 18.

“This ceremony marks not only the culmination of hard work, dedication, and perseverance but also the beginning of new journeys filled with opportunities and possibilities,” said CSAT Vocational School Administrator Karol Ranalan.

Ranalan also emphasized the extensive training that the graduates received, providing them with crucial abilities and knowledge in tile setting and bread and pastry production.

She further acknowledged the crucial role played by the instructors, stating, “As we witness the fruits of your labor, let us also acknowledge the unwavering support of our dedicated instructors. Your guidance and expertise have played a pivotal role in shaping these graduates into the skilled individuals they are today.”

She urged everyone to reflect on the broader impact of education and training, emphasizing how the acquired knowledge and skills contribute not only to the growth and prosperity of the barangay but also to society as a whole.

Irine Eligan, a Bread and Pastry Production scholar under TESDA, shared her gratitude for the valuable lessons learned during the program, saying, “Daghan kaayo mi’g nakat-unan unya sa akong pangidaron karon, dako gyud kaayo og ikatabang sa mga klase-klase nga mga pagluto sa mga cake diha mi nakakat-on kay sa ako sauna, galuto ra gyud ko pero kuwang og mga procedure [We learned a lot at my age now; it’s very helpful to cook different kinds of cakes when we learned more than when I was; I really only cook but lack procedures].”

Eligan acknowledged the significant impact of the program on her cooking skills, highlighting the guidance she received from the instructors. She emphasized her newfound knowledge in identifying the shortcomings in her cooking and expressed appreciation for the comprehensive education provided.
